Stainless steel nameplate etching equipment

Stainless steel etching is a process that selectively dissolves metal surfaces through a chemical solution. The process utilises a mixture of ferric chloride or nitric acid in a redox reaction with the metal. Exposed areas of the material are gradually eroded to form a predetermined pattern. The depth of processing is determined by the concentration of the solution and the immersion time.
  • Detailed Description

Main technical parameters

  1. Etching rate: 0.01-0.05mm/min
  2. Minimum line width: up to 0.05mm
  3. Thickness tolerance: ±0.01mm
  4. Surface roughness: Ra0.8-3.2μm

    process

Material pre-treatment: Alkaline solution is used to remove oil on the surface

Photographic film coating: Roller coating method to form a 20-50μm photoresist layer on the surface of the steel plate

UV exposure: transferring the design through a film mask

Developing: Dissolve uncured photoresist with sodium carbonate solution.

Chemical etching: etching tank at 40-50℃.

Film removal cleaning: Sodium hydroxide solution to remove residual photoresist

Dimensional Inspection: Three-dimensional measuring instrument to verify the processing accuracy.
